Jamesport

The Jamesport community is one of the largest and best-known in Missouri. Construction and building-related enterprises are popular among the Amish here.

Working with an Amish construction company

To contact the majority of the above builders, simply call and leave a voice message. Some Amish use cell and smartphones nowadays, while voice mail remains the norm in many places.

Amish work crews will have a given range in which they do jobs. This may be a certain mileage distance or certain road time traveled range. Crews will typically go up to 1.5-2 hours for a job, depending on the work to be performed (size of the job, etc.) and other circumstances.

In some instances Amish crews will stay overnight for extended periods to complete a job, but this is less common. Check with the individual company for more details.
