Amish Youth Sing “When All of God’s Singers Get Home”

After a number of videos lately of Amish singing popular songs, how about something more traditional.
This video was filmed at a New Order Amish youth singing in 2023 by P. Thomas (he’s also brought us previous New Order Amish singing as well as Amish schoolchildren singing).
In this video, the youth sing “When All of God’s Singers Get Home.” Phil has provided a number of songs from this singing, but this one might be my favorite. Beautiful. Enjoy:
When All of God’s Singers Get Home
Lyrics by Luther G. Presley; Music by Virgil O. Stamps
What a song of delight in that City so bright
will be wafted ‘neath Heaven’s fair dome!
How the ransomed will raise happy songs in His praise,
when all of God’s singers get home!
CHORUS:
When all of God’s singers get home,
where never a sorrow will come;
there’ll be “no place like home,”
when all of God’s singers get home.
As we sing here on earth, songs of sadness or mirth,
’tis a foretaste of rapture to come.
But our joy can’t compare with the glory up there,
when all of God’s singers get home! (Chorus)
Having overcome sin, “Hallelujah, AMEN!”
will be heard in that land o’er the foam;
every heart will be light and each face will be bright–
when all of God’s singers get home! (Chorus)

One More – in “Deutch”
In Amish youth singings, they often sing a mix of songs in both English and German. Here is another song, described simply as “Popular Hymn 2 in Deutch”.
A commenter suggests it might be “the Deutch version of ‘Our God He is alive'”, though I’m not sure. In any case, enjoy:

I am one of those singers!
I can’t wait!
