House Fire Claims Amish Boy’s Life In Tennessee

This happened December 23rd. From WZTV:

WEAKLEY COUNTY, Tenn. (WZTV) — An 8-year-old boy was killed a house fire in an Amish community in Weakley County, Tenn. on Wednesday.

Jason Arnold, Battalion Chief at McKenzie Fire and Rescue, said crews responded to the blaze just after 11 p.m. and arrived to find a home along Blaylock Road completely engulfed in flames.

A neighbor reported hearing an explosion, seeing flames bursting from the home and calling 911. Arnold said it’s believed the fire started in the the center of the home and the structure is a complete loss.

He says an 8-year-old boy died in the fire. There were no other reported injuries.

A tragic loss just before Christmas for this family. The photo shows the severity of the fire:
