Need help
Hi, I’m 29 and disabled. I was lucky enough to afford a home using what I had before my health got worse, but unfortunately I need to do some work as I continued getting worse. I’m in Georgia, specifically Douglasville, GA and would love to know if there are any Amish or Mennonite communities nearby that wouldn’t mind helping me add in some built in storage shelves, a u shaped driveway so I can drive closer to my front door, a bigger porch with a ramp for my wheelchair and iv poles and patch up a few Shingles and finish odd jobs as well. I’ve been saving what I can And have had to move in with family to rent my house so I can save even more to get this stuff done so I can move back home. I don’t have a lot of money, unfortunately I don’t know how, and if I did, I can’t manage to do the work myself, and I’ve been swindled by two contractors before so even less money left, or I get quoted much much more than I could ever imagine to have. I’m no longer working due to my health (oxygen dependent, continuous tube feeds, Dysautonomia, ethlers danlos syndrome, etc.) and what I thankfully get from my Ssdi barely covers my mortgage and medical supplies. Please, does anyone know of anywhere or anyone willing to help? I don’t mind paying at all, I’ve been saving, it’s just not a lot.
