New Song From Ben & Rose: “Would You Like To Buy Some Flowers”
There’s a wonderful new Ben & Rose studio song out now (released about two weeks ago, in fact) called “Would You Like To Buy Some Flowers”.
I missed it until now, because it was released on a different YouTube channel (more on that below).
If you’ve missed previous posts, Ben & Rose are the young Lancaster Amish couple who have quite the talent for country music.
Reader Lisa had this to share about the couple on the original video:
I know this couple. They are from Lancaster County. Rose played at the Corner Coffee Shop right in downtown Intercourse across from Kitchen Kettle back a year or so ago. She played on a weekend night for a couple of hours with her sister. They were a duet at the time.
I have a short video of her singing with her sister. The coffee shop brings in amateur talent every Friday and Saturday night and they get exposure and play for tips.
They were accompanied by old order Amish men, I think a brother, and came and left with all their sound equipment by van. I was so shocked at the time but the audience is filled every weekend with Amish no matter who us playing. Rose must have married since my video since her husband has a beard!
That goes to show you that some Amish do have an appreciation for music, country music in particular.
Like their other songs, such as their covers of “The Little Mountain Church House” and “Circle Of Love”, this one is beautifully performed and sung.
They are joined by Amos Raber on guitar and vocals. Amos and wife Margaret have their own channel with lots of beautiful music as well.
It looks like this one was also recorded at Conrad Fisher’s Ragamuffin Hall. The song was in fact written by Conrad Fisher, who produces the couple’s songs. You can hear Conrad’s different, though also excellent, version here.

Two words: Simply A-mazing!! Lol. And I’m not even a country music fan at all, but listening to these few videos may have converted me. Wow!! I close my eyes & Rose sounds so much like Miss Dolly Parton . . . Can’t hardly believe my ears. Thanks to Erik for passing this on to us.

Are Ben and Rose married? They are such a delightful singing couple.
Confused
I know a lot of Amish who appreciate music and would love to play more than a mouth organ but are not permitted to play a stringed instrument or be recorded. These two must be on their way out of the church.
