Here’s Lt. Matthew Hess via Fox43:
BIRD IN HAND, Pa. — As they continue to search for an 18-year-old Amish woman who went missing on June 21, police in Lancaster County are seeking help from any bikers, drivers, or walkers who may have been in the area at the time she disappeared.
“The idea or the point behind people contacting the police is to allow us to speak to them in case there were any sort of suspicious activities or things that they may have observed that they may not have initially thought were important,” said Lt. Matthew Hess of the East Lampeter Township Police Department.
More from WGAL:
“Some people may have noticed something, observed something while they were traveling on those roadways that they feel might be insignificant or they did see something and just weren’t feeling comfortable contacting the police, we are reaching out to them to ask them to contact us as part of the investigation. No tip is too small. No little bit of information is not worthy of at least letting us hear about it,” said Lt. Matthew Hess.
This area is pretty “heavily” traveled as far as Lancaster County rural roads go, being in the vicinity of Bird-in-Hand. Of course, there are fewer tourists now, so that traffic must be down somewhat. Still, hopefully someone has information that might be helpful.

Linda
I’ve been praying daily for this young lady-that she is safe and will contact someone soon. Hopefully someone comes forward with information. Have her close friends been talked to by police? Or maybe their Bishop/Pastor? Teenage girls will usually tell a friend about something instead of a parent if something is going on in their life. “ Lord, protect her, and if someone is holding her against her will ,change their heart so they may let her go.”
This makes me sad
I’ve been on these roads many times. By Lancaster standards they are heavily traveled. Somebody has to have seen something.
