New Song From Ben & Rose: “Lord I Don’t Need A Mansion”

Well so they teased us with one great song…and then delivered another great song – nice one there guys! 😉

Several days ago, I posted a 23-second clip that Ben & Rose released of a new song they are apparently working on (a cover of “Dream of Me”) – expecting that the full version would be out soon.

But instead of that, they’ve just released a completely different one – “Lord I Don’t Need A Mansion”.

This is another one written by their producer Conrad Fisher, who we saw in the previous short clip on guitar.

From all I’ve heard from him, Conrad is a great songwriter and is the one who wrote one of my Ben & Rose favorites, “Would You Like To Buy Some Flowers”.

It sounds like he has done it again with a country-tinged gospel tune: “Lord I don’t need a mansion on a hilltop…I’ve learned to love a simple cottage here below.”

And Ben & Rose’s performance is as usual top-notch.

Also, some fun visuals in this one – amazing aerials shots and flying around a pasture with some sort of large-horned beasts frolicking about (I’m sure someone can tell me what variety of beast those are 🙂 ).

Have a listen!

    Ben and Rose

I cannot tell you how much I have enjoyed listening to Ben and Rose’s songs. Vocally, they are a match made in heaven and they are such the cutest couple! I would love to see an album of all their songs. I would be right there in line to buy it! Thank you for posting the songs for all of us to enjoy!

These are Longhorn Steers. They are seen a lot in Texas. There is a herd of them in Lancaster County on an Amish farm on Peters Rd between Intercourse and New Holland. I am sure their are more herds around Lancaster as well.
