These children’s scooters are made by Groffdale Machine Shop, a long-established Amish-owned business in Lancaster County and perhaps the best-known maker of Amish scooters. Scooters of course are a Lancaster Amish essential, used as transport and fun by children and adults alike.

Croquet is not a game you see in all Amish communities. But it thrives as a favorite outdoor pastime among the Amish of Lancaster County.

Amish-style noodles from the famous Das Dutchman Essenhaus restaurant of northern Indiana. You can choose from a number of noodle varieties including Wide, Narrow, Pot Pie, Fine, and Yolk-Free (note, though the restaurant is located in “Amish Country” and employs Amish people we can’t guarantee these are technically “Amish-made” as they also have other non-Amish/Mennonite employees).

Hair Pins (Fisher’s Wire Products, Bird-in-Hand/Lancaster County, PA)
These sturdy 3-inch hairpins are made by an Amishman in his basement (with help from his family) in the village of Bird-in-Hand in Lancaster County, PA. Stainless steel, snagless, and bend-resistant. Also available in 2.5 and 3-inch crinkled sizes.
