New from Ben & Rose: “Stroll Over Heaven”

Ben & Rose have just released a new tune – “Stroll Over Heaven” is a gospel song written by Carl L. Trivette in 1952. It was popularized more recently by Alan Jackson on his 2005 gospel release Precious Memories.

This is their first since their team-up with Rose’s siblings Mike & Marty on “Palms of Victory”. We actually got a short demo clip preview of this song back in February.

The video deserves special attention here – it was filmed on a farm in Juniata County, Pennsylvania. The video credits and thanks Marcus and Anna Mary Zook for allowing them to film there.

I’m not 100% sure this is an Amish farm, but the owners have typical Amish names, and Juniata County, where producer Conrad Fisher’s studio is located, is home to a long-established Amish settlement of over 1,300 people.

Here are the lyrics:

“Stroll Over Heaven” – Lyrics

If I surveyed all the good things that come to me from above
If I count all the blessings from the storehouse of love
I’d simply ask for a favor of him beyond mortal king
And I’m sure that he’d grant it again

I want to stroll over Heaven with you some glad day
When all our troubles and heartaches are vanished away
Then we’ll enjoy the beauty where all things are new
I want to stroll over Heaven with you

So many places of beauty we long to see here below
But time and treasures have kept us from making plans as you know
But come the morning of the rapture together we’ll stand anew
While I stroll over Heaven with you

I want to stroll over Heaven with you some glad day
When all our troubles and heartaches are vanished away
Then we’ll enjoy the beauty where all things are new
I want to stroll over Heaven with you

An uplifting, lovely song. Enjoy a listen here!
