12 Great Places to Stay in Ohio Amish Country (Holmes County & Beyond)

Where Rolling Hills, Handcrafted Traditions, and Amish Hospitality Meet
Ohio’s Amish Country, centered around Holmes County, but extending into neighboring counties like Wayne, Tuscarawas, Coshocton, and Stark, is one of the largest Amish communities in the world.
Home to around 40,000 Amish people, each year scores of visitors are drawn here by the winding backroads, horse-drawn buggies, quilt shops, cheese factories, and warm hospitality.
People come for the hearty PA Dutch-style food, a chance to purchase Amish-made foods and goods, and for a pause from the “busy life” in the area’s scenic and serene surroundings.

Likewise, the Holmes County area provides a wide range of lodging options – and you’ll find there’s something for just about every taste, whether you’re traveling with family, on your own, or on a couple’s getaway weekend.

Stay In OH Amish Country
Hey, the above listed places all look really nice & are close to all the attractions. Looks like many options to choose from regardless of tastes, budgets, etc. How lovely that they have accommodations for families as many people travel with the kids in tow. Sure wish we had this in MY state. Lol. Packing my bags right now! Thanks, Erik.
Let me also add The Charm Countryview Inn in Charm, Ohio.
I loved it when the original owners (and Amish and Mennonite family) were there, and it still appears to get good reviews with the new Mennonite owners.
Thanks Jane, sounds like a good one too.
For singles?
Are there any youth hostels or other frugal overnight accommodations for single people?
Another nice hotel
I stayed at Comfort Inn on Township Road 466. It was a very nice hotel. The best thing was the open porch in front of the hotel that was covered. It had rocking chairs to sit on and watch the buggies pass by.
Sounds like another good one, thanks!
