My apologies if you tried to leave a comment on the blog the past few days and couldn’t.
Turns out I needed to do a bit of technical background work that couldn’t wait!
So I spent most of the last couple days learning about databases and other exciting things. Trust me–whatever you did this weekend–your weekend was more interesting 🙂 But things should be back to a happy normal now.
I also had to (temporarily) take down Thursday’s post on Amish in Kentucky.
Both that post, and the Kentucky Amish state guide entry, are back up now. If you didn’t get a chance to read those you can do that here.
Should have another post up later today!

Glad your back Eric. It was alittle strange not being able to get on. Richard.
So glad you’re back on Erik, have missed you…..So what shall we talk about today?LOL
How about some good garden knowledge from the Amish…..Alice gave me a some good advice which I gave to my daughter & my sister, so since it soon will be that time, let’s do some gardening…….I want to know the best way to sow morning glory seeds to get the best vines and flowers…..love them and I have a spot I’d like to cover for some privacy…… also how to keep neighbors dog from coming in my front yard & relieving himself on my plants………I would like to put out a couple of tomato plants out front(no back) at the side of my porch….but I could not stand to eat tomatoes that I knew was doggie sprayed…….HELP…….
I really missed reading my post on Amish america.Richard.www.amishstorys.com
Hey folks… looks like the temps will be going up this week in Lebanon county. So spring is in the air, or maybe its just the radon. Who knows, im not a scientist and i can barely keep gas in my car but i welcome the warming trend. Since theres not a topic today i was wondering if anyone on Amish America has ever been to yoders Amish Restaurant in Sarasota Florida?. I did alittle topic on the blog today about it today(Sunday) so im wondering what you guys thought about it. Theres 3 restaurants in Pinecraft, and one other place called sugar and spice which is a Amish style restaurant just outside of the pinecraft area. Ive been to all of the 3 in town, but never ate in sugar and spice although ive been inside one time. I wrote about the size difference between troyers and yoders, to bring home this fact. I remember being in the rest room at yoders one time and trying to comb my hair, only to leave after accidently puching myself in the face. Now thats a small bathroom folks. Sorry Eric i couldn’t find a way to fit a groundhog in this story, but the week is young so who knows what the rest of the week will bring, lol. Good night folks and welcome back Erik. Richard, lebanon,pa.
Richard, there was a topic today,, Amish in Kentucky. Pay attention boy, LOL!!
Not on this post Alice, this topic is really “comments are back post” now your really so fired Alice.wheres my buddy Marilyn when i really need her.
Me and the groundhog are out- of- here. Richard
Hurrah! It’s good to read AA again. I see Erik is going gallivanting though. That should make some fantastic reading along the way though.
If Richard is watching this blog, I have to ask him something, what happened to all the responses to the Whoopie Pie entry? I viewed it last night and found there where a number of them there last night, but then this evening, they were all gone, including one I posted under the imaginative handle of anonymous. Odd. Did you do something maintenance-wise?
Richard; ignore that last post above, I found the comment I made on your blog. My bad as they say. The blog is very nice by the way.
