Amish Quilts – Indiana

Hoosier State Amish quilting

Amish-made Quilt IndianaQuilting has a long history in Amish Indiana, with a distinct set of patterns and styles having arisen in the Hoosier State.

Today Amish quilters create beautifully handmade quilts in a variety of patterns and vibrant colors.  Amish quilts come in a variety of traditional designs including Bar, Log Cabin, Diamond in Square, Bow Tie, Block Star and Double Irish Chain.

Amish quilts are sold in a variety of venues throughout Indiana, including in Amish operated shops, by non-Amish retail stores, and via Amish auctions and sales.

Amish quilt shops can be found in various locations throughout the state, including around Shipshewana, Nappanee, Goshen,  and in the Daviess County area.   A number of Amish quilt shops can be found within relatively driving range of major Indiana cities, including Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, South Bend, Evansville, and Bloomington.
