Dishonest contractor
Avoid hiring Chris Troyer. He has dissolved Midwest Residential Construction (11/21) and has been sued for breach of contract in Ohio (2/22) for taking the last payment in advance and abandoning a construction project. Such dishonest behavior is not what one thinks of when Amish virtues are mentioned.

I am glad you put this warning up. It’s sad indeed that dishonest people like this give us all a bad name. But it is a reminder we have our share of bad apples, too.

In the test, I checked “Check to be notified of comments on this post” and did not get notification of my Site Test post.
I was also was surprised to see my Site Test reply added to published posts. This seems to indicate the site is not being monitored for leads by contractors.
And why should they if replies are not forwarded to the original poster, as I would have expected. To communicate posters would have to publish personal contact information in their post and who wants to do that?
